Nashville, TN (Sports Network) - The Nashville Predators have claimed forward Brian McGrattan off waivers from the Anaheim Ducks. The 30-year-old has tallied three goals, 11 assists and 395 penalty minutes in 182 career games with Ottawa, Phoenix and Calgary. The 6-foot-4, 235-pound Ontario native recorded 10 goals and five assists with Providence and Syracuse of the AHL last season.

- The St. Louis Blues have claimed defenseman Taylor Chorney off waivers from the Edmonton Oilers. The 24-year-old Chorney tallied one goal and six assists in 56 career games with Edmonton. St. Louis also placed defenseman Carlo Colaiacovo on injured reserve after suffering an upper-body injury against the Nashville Predators on October 8. He'll be eligible to return on October 16 against the Anaheim Ducks. The 28-year-old posted six goals and 20 assists in 65 games with the Blues last season.

Anaheim, CA (Sports Network) - The Anaheim Ducks have acquired defenseman Kyle Cumiskey from the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for defenseman Jake Newton and a seventh-round selection in the 2013 NHL draft. The 24-year-old Cumiskey played in 18 games with Colorado last season, scoring once and assisting on seven other goals. He appeared in a career-high 61 contests with the Avalanche in 2009-10, earning seven goals and 13 assists. Cumiskey has nine goals and 26 assists over 132 career NHL game
